The smaller artists downstairs and I have enjoyed another fun year at the Kiama Art Society Coach House Studio. Lots of painting, puppet making, papier mache, drawing, clay work and printing has occurred.
A warm welcome to our newest members.
The acrylics class on a Thursday afternoon has been going well and we have completed several paintings this term. Students who have been coming for most of the year have gained benefit and confidence from learning some good techniques and I am very pleased with the paintings that everyone has produced.
The year has just flown by here at Jamberoo. Having a three-hour untutored drawing and painting group based on the human form has proved very successful.
We knew we were in for a treat when we walked in and saw three of Julie’s unfinished works of flowers in watercolour. They looked complex and beautifully impressionistic. How could we attain to doing anything like that!!
Members of the printmaking group continue to make use of the press at the Coach house on a Monday, but mostly on an individual basis.
Sony digital video camera recorder and multimedia projector for sale for $500, or near offer.
The watercolour workshops have finished for the year with the last session held on 11th November. As well as covering the topic of trees and rocks, a picnic lunch was held to celebrate the end of an interesting and productive year.
