A WORD FROM PRESIDENT HELEN

KAS has made a great start to 2019, and the committee are working hard to keep the momentum going! As President, I know I am very lucky to be working with such talented and experienced committee members! What a team!

THE COACH  HOUSE :    Revamping of our Coach House Home is almost complete. We now have new roller blinds in a blockout fabric, suitable for eliminating light or letting in as much air and breeze as possible. It’s looking good!

DEMONSTRATIONS:      Our monthly demonstrations have been well attended, and it has been wonderful to see both “old” and new members and guests mingling, enjoying the art and socialising over the traditional KAS Afternoon Tea.  Many thanks to Nature Artist Peter Wale who entertained us so well with his demonstration of the many uses of coloured pencils. He had us fascinated and inspired. We are lucky to have Peter returning later in the year to demonstrate pen and wash techniques. Keep your eye on the demonstration calendar for details.

ANNUAL EXHIBITION;      Planning for our Annual Exhibition at the Kiama Leagues Club is progressing well. More details and entry forms will be available soon. Categories are as last year, so now is the time to get your artworks started!

THE WALL AT THE COACH HOUSE:      In last month’s newsletter, I mentioned a committee exhibition initiative which was then in the planning stage. Details are now finalised, and are included in this newsletter. Please read, discuss with friends, and book an exhibition month.  The first exhibition will be a “trial run” featuring paintings by your committee – we hope our efforts will encourage you to hang your works too. It’s all about sharing and participating. Huge thanks to committee members Karen Wright and Susan Alexander for taking the running with this. Booking Form at end of this Newsletter

Please print this newsletter if you can so you have coming events, the dates and details at your fingertips!

Cheers to all , Helen
