The acrylics class on a Thursday afternoon has been going well and we have completed several paintings this term. Students who have been coming for most of the year have gained benefit and confidence from learning some good techniques and I am very pleased with the paintings that everyone has produced. We have welcomed a few newcomers recently and it is always encouraging to see people enjoy the process and joy of painting.

I organised a student exhibition last month at the exhibition space at Shellharbour. It was quite a success with more than 80 friends, family and interested visitors turning up on opening night. Sales were good. A steady stream of 500 plus people came through while the exhibition was on and this was also good promotion for the Kiama Art Society with names taken for classes in 2015.

I have to say that I’m thoroughly enjoying the classes at Kiama. We have a lovely friendly group who I look forward to seeing each week.

I can take another two people in my acrylics class.
