Our 2015 calendar for workshops and demonstrations is looking very exciting. Our year started with an excellent workshop given by Chan Dissanayake in February. All feedback from participants has been very positive.

Preliminary information about the remainder of the 2015 workshops is listed below. Full details, including specific subjects, media, requirements and costs will be published in future newsletters and on our website in the workshop and demonstration section.

COMING WORKSHOPS:

WEDNESDAY APRIL 22nd                          DIANNE GEE

9.30 to 4pm at the COACH HOUSE

A one-day workshop, focusing on techniques for quick sketching of people, animals and places, using a variety of pencils, pen and inks and watercolour washes. Part of the day will be plein air, emphasising capturing the moment by life observation.

MAY 30th and 31st                                          HIREN PATEL

9.00am to 4.00pm at the COACH HOUSE

URBAN LANDSCAPES IN OIL. You may remember the excellent demonstration Hiren gave us in February last year. Hiren will lead us through his approach to capturing light and atmosphere in contemporary street scenes.

Medium: Oils.

 

JULY 4th and 5th                                             JUDITH WHITE

9am to 4pm at the NORTH KIAMA NEIGHBOURHOOD CENTRE (Gainsborough).

CONTEMPORARY LANDSCAPE.    Judith is a well-recognised artist and teacher, specialising in contemporary landscapes, using an exciting variety of media. The workshop will include many techniques to help participants develop and express their own personal sense of place.

SEPTEMBER 23rd, 24th, and 25th.         JULIE GOLDSPINK

9.00am to 4.00pm at the NORTH KIAMA NEIGHBOURHOOD CENTRE (Gainsborough)

DAYS 1 and 2: GETTING THE BEST OUT OF STILL LIFE.  Medium – any medium (watercolour, oils, acrylic, pastels, mixed media ). Experience in chosen media necessary.

DAY 3:  Underwater scene with mixed media and watercolour  (prior experience not necessary). .

PARTICIPANTS CAN ENROL FOR ALL THREE DAYS, OR DAYS ONE AND TWO ONLY, OR DAY THREE ONLY.

 

MONTHLY DEMONSTRATIONS:

Demonstrations are held on the first Tuesday of the month at the COACH HOUSE, from 1pm to 3pm approximately, followed by a social afternoon tea.

COST: $7.00 members        $10 non-members
