Lloyd Rees Kiama Legacy Project
Following our highly successful festival in 2013, our next exciting Lloyd Rees project in Kiama/Gerringong is the restoration of paintings by his architectural students in 1962.
These were just recently discovered a little worse for wear after a chance comment by Alan Rees, who thought he recalled that his father had been commissioned to organise a mural for the then new assembly hall at Kiama High School…..
We are appealing for funds to bring these wonderful legacy works back to life for locals and visitors alike to enjoy.
You can donate via our website https://lloydreeslegacy.wordpress.com/ via paypal, or we can organise direct deposit.
Funds are being used for the restoration and re-framing of the artworks, and an exhibition of the restored paintings at the Old Fire Station Gallery, Kiama from 10 – 15 May 2016. We hope you can join us there.
Our aim is to raise $6,000
Our total so far is $1,010 – We would like to thank those who have generously donated.
